Here is your warning: Snow cover is causing sever slush issues on some lakes and areas of Lake Superior. The snow is very heavy, and when you pop holes through the ice, the water is pushed out forming nice slush pits. Be aware, stay on packed trails if possible and maybe park your sled away from any drilled holes if possible.

Snow is deep and powdery.

Lake Superior continues to freeze, however with warming temperatures and a good snow pack on the ice, it has and will likely slow.

Other than deep snow and potential slush conditions inland lakes are well iced.

Hows the fishing?

Inland lakes for brook trout, walleye and splake reports are good.

Jesse Lake is open for Lake Trout, fishing is a bit slow. ,

Fishing seems to be getting better on superior for most species.
