Affordable Rental Rates for Memorable Adventures

Our competitively priced rentals ensure that your unforgettable canoeing and kayaking experience won’t break the bank. Take advantage of our daily and multi-day rates:

  • Canoe Rental: $50/day
  • Two or More Day Rental: $35/day

A day comprises 24 hours between pick up and return.

NOTE: Thes canoe/Kayaks are meant for smaller water, not Lake Superior

Included with Your Rental

All rentals come with the essentials to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure:

  • Two PFD’s
  • Two Paddles
  • Anchor if desired

Safety equipment above and beyond Government of Ontario Regulations

  • Buoyant heaving line
  • Bailer or Hand Pump
  • Air Horn or Whistle
  • Compass
  • Waterproof Flashlight
  • Lighter

 

 

We also supply bait, tackle, maps, information, and additional gear, including Deeper castable fish finders and battery Boxes for running electronics.

Some canoes can have motors attached.

Customized Drop-off and Pickup Services

We understand that each adventure is unique. Our drop-off and pickup rates are tailored to the lake’s location and access, providing hassle-free and convenient service.

We can drop off and pick up the canoes/kayaks and yourselves for some of the more remote lakes. Or you can explore with our boats in your vehicle.

Our region boasts an array of stunning lakes and rivers, perfect for canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts of all skill levels. Explore some of our recommendations:

Small Lakes/Rivers:

  • Lofquist Lake – Just for a few hours right in the heart of Nipigon.
  • Malbourne Lake – Small stocked Brook Trout Lake.
  • Marilyn Lake – Med-sized Splake Lake with fantastic vistas.
  • Jackfish River – 7 km slow river into the heart of the boreal forest.

Moderate Lakes:

  • Cox Lake – Smallmouth bass and Pike
  • Male Lake – Largher stocked Brook Trout Lake

Larger Lakes:

  • Fraser Lake – Larger high productivity Walleye lake
  • Jesse Lake – Larger Lake on the Nipigon River for Lake Trout Nipigon River Brook trout
  • Jean Lake – larger Lake with fantastic Walleye Fishing

Many other Backwoods lakes are accessible, some only bay canoe/kayak. Many offer fantastic views and great fishing for Jumbo Perch, Brook Trout, Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake Trout,

Pre order your live bait!

Pre-order your live bait for pickup at the bait shop whenever you are driving through. We do not deliver. Pre-orders can be picked up at anytime on the date required.

You will receive a confirmation email with amount and cost within 24 hours of your order and will be notified / updated 48 hours before pickup.

NIGHTCRAWLERS

Available for most of the year in pre-packaged Styrofoam containers sold by the dozen ($4/dozen). Flats are available with a minimum of two weeks notice and are subject to available pricing.

MINNOWS

Minnows are available most of the year although periodically may be unavailable. Minnows are available by the dozen and are packaged in oxygenated cold water for maximum longevity. We grade our minnows out at small/med ($5/dozen) and med/large ($7/dozen).

LEECHES

Leeches are available in the late spring/summer months at a cost of $5/dozen.

WAXWORMS

Live wax worms will be available winter 2019. Although I do not have definitive pricing, I am looking at around  $8 per 25 waxworms.

SUCKER MINNOWS

Sucker minnows are available for special order and are not always available. Large Sucker minnows on pre-order sell for $1 / large sucker.
